Youth Mentoring provides culturally sensitive guidance for navigating everyday challenges, while empowering deadly-decision making, daily planning, budgeting, and accessing public transport.
Teaching basic living skills, making meals, packing lunches, making beds, cleaning rooms, organising school days, self-care activities and building routines
Providing temporary, flexible assistance to individuals, enabling them to access essential services, respite care, and support tailored to their specific needs, while their primary caregivers take a break or attend to other responsibilities.

It equips individuals with the knowledge and skills needed to engage effectively within their cultural communities, while also addressing their unique disability-related needs and goals, promoting inclusivity, and enhancing overall well-being
Lenny Zillman is a compassionate and knowledgeable Support Coordinator who has been working with DIYDG for several years. His commitment to culturally appropriate services and his deep understanding of the challenges faced by young people and their families make him an invaluable asset to the organisation. Lenny draws upon First Nations holistic practices to enhance the well-being of NDIS participants. These practices recognise the interconnectedness of physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual aspects of health and wellbeing.
Lenny Zillman’s holistic approach, cultural sensitivity, and commitment to empowering NDIS participants make him an exceptional Support Coordinator. His work reflects the values of DIYDG and contributes to positive outcomes for young people and their families.
Melissa Bann has had extensive experience in counselling and providing therapeutic support to clients of all ages and backgrounds. Melissa’s main specialities are person-centred counselling, cognitive behaviour therapy, trauma counselling, psychodynamic approach and mindfulness. She is also a qualified sand play and symbol work therapist. Melissa uses art as a therapeutic and expressive tool and holds qualifications in art therapy. Melissa uses play as a therapeutic tool to work with children. She also offers Christian counselling to those that prefer counselling in a faith-based context.
