Cairns NAIDOC is excited to announce that First Nations Foundation is the Cairns NAIDOC Platinum Sponsor for 2024!
First Nations Foundation is a successful Indigenous financial wellbeing foundation led by an Indigenous majority board since 2006. They have a strong trust reputation with both financial and Indigenous community sectors, and a powerful track record of results, agility, and innovation.
FNF works with Indigenous communities and the finance industry to provide customer-centric financial education, training, and information.
Thank you, First Nations Foundation, for your incredible support!
The Cairns NAIDOC Committee acknowledges Traditional Custodians of the land upon which we gather and organise our NAIDOC events. We honour their knowledge of this Country and its stories. We pay respect to our Elders who have paved the way and advocate for our rights. Our acknowledgment extends to all individuals present, their families, communities, and respective Countries.
The Cairns NAIDOC Committee, composed of passionate volunteers, is at the forefront of organising a dynamic and engaging weeklong NAIDOC celebration. Our committee, driven by a passion for promoting the rich culture, heritage, and contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities in the Cairns region, is dedicated to creating unity and understanding, advocating for social justice, and ensuring that the vibrant Indigenous cultures of the region are both honoured and cherished.
We recognise and thank all volunteers, whose contributions over the years have accredited to the ongoing success of Cairns NAIDOC Week. Due to their work, we are able to grow our celebrations every year.
Together we will embrace this year’s theme, Keep the Fire burning! Blak, Loud & Proud!
We are a group of volunteers and always seek assistance. If you are keen and motivated, wanting to network amongst mob, learn new skills and want to give back to community, come and join us.
