With no start up capital, Good Vibrations lead a team of youth volunteers to design, plan and deliver various fundraising projects over the years.
In 2021 DIYDG launched the Ultimate Games which saw over 160 participants aged between 15-25 participate in ULTIMATE Team challenges. DIYDG aim to host the Ultimate Games each year and deliver 2 events. One targeting young people and another competition targeting those over the age of 18yrs.
Every week DIYDG aim to host a support group targeting young people 16-30 years of age. The peer support group will bring together mentors, educators, community members, campaign leaders and more to share their vision for an inclusive community. Sessions will always ensure the foundations of any family practice is catered for... Respect and FOOD..
Back in 2013, a small collective of young people met weekly
to connect with each other, be social, learn and grow together
and to give back to their community. As a result, they found that they became more resilient; had a greater sense of self identity.
From those first small weekly get-togethers... It has grown into
what is known today as Good Vibrations.
Culture, identity, love, respect, safety, positivity and most of all a sense of belonging are all things that we as young people need to thrive.
Good Vibrations' builds safe environments in a culture that enables young people to explore themselves, build positive peer connections, develop support structures that are both personal & professional and to always provide a space where young people belong.
Good Vibrations is designed simply for young people to have fun in a positive environment.
We do this through engaging in interactive activities every week, such as sports, educational workshops, yarning circles, playing games (because we all have an inner child).... Anything and everything!
The Good Vibrations' crew will tell you, the night is always filled with fun, food, laughter and meaningful connections.
One of our most anticipated events each year is our annual DIYDG Wellbeing Camp. The DIYDG Wellbeing Camp is a 3-day program that aims to raise the wellbeing of our young people, through making positive peer connections and being on Country.
The DIYDG Wellbeing Camp engages young people in workshops in self awareness, group sports to build connections with others, campfire yarns to share knowledge and stories, and more.
Young people are encouraged to build and facilitate their own workshops and activities and are fully supported by DIYDG.

As we forge our way to a stronger future, we embody the millennia of footsteps that came before us. We feel the presence of our ancestors and their guidance, as we navigate our continued responsibility to the lands and seas in which we connect to. Their spirit will carry on in the generations to come as we inspire, equip and empower our people and our community.
