The Annual NAIDOC Corporate breakfast provides an opportunity to hear the voices of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. It is though the stories of their lived experiences that we are inspired to connect and do more for our community.
DIYDG have hosted a table of up and coming young leaders every year for the past 3 years.
Up and coming leaders are invited to register their interest to receive a free ticket to attend the Cairns NAIDOC breakfast. Selected applicants will be hosted by DIYDG.
Applicants must be aged 16 to 29 to apply.

Teams of 10 will be formed on the night and compete for the Ultimate Games Night Shield.

Join us to learn about how to answer the call to action.
Become inspired by our shared stories that has led us to this moment. Be equipped with tools to feel confident in having conversations about the statement. Be empowered to continue your advocacy journey.

All families and community are invited to join us as we prepare for Annual Cairns NAIDOC March on the 8th July. The DIYDG Home will be open to anyone wanting to paint banner to take in the march. We have the space to spread out, get creative and be ready to Get up! Stand Up! Show Up!

On behalf of DIYDG's Youth for a Voice Committee, we are issuing a call out to ALL young people aged 18-30 to Convoy to Gurindji with us. For all of the Aboriginal, Torres Strait Islander and Non-Indigenous young people that call this country home, we invite you to join us.
Three Days prior to the Freedom Day Festival a convoy of young people will leave from Cairns and begin the trek to Kalkarindji stopping at certain locations such as Mt Isa and Katherine. During the trek the young people will build their knowledge about the Uluru Statement, learning the history and the importance of such a document.
